We are proud to give Heather this week’s spotlight and sincerely thank her for all her efforts to help TweetFeat.com out, with a lot of recommendations and only hope that people get to know her better, here on TweetFeat.com.
She has a lot of experience in the creative promotions and media field including, PR, Advertising, Publishing and Marketing. She is witty, clever and extremely creative.
As per her recommendation, we are dimming the lights here as she wanted to keep it short and simple.
Why Twitter?
It’s a source for creative inspiration and alternative news and points of view. I’ve got a short attention span and very little time to waste, so Twitter is great instant gratification.
How often do you use Twitter?
I tweet 5-6 times per day. But I read Twitter throughout my day, (EST).
What do you tweet about?
I share links, articles, events, and ideas on work, home and fun topics.
Work: For me this means writing, marketing, media, design, and advertising. It’s been eye-opening to connect with other folks in the publishing business as newspapers and magazines struggle to stay afloat. More than that, I enjoy connecting with other writers and designers in the marketing/advertising business to get inspiration and solutions.
Home: Vegetarian eating and green living solutions. Twitter is a great place to discover new sites for recipes, restaurants, and environmental news. And I am a cat person.
Fun: Music, movies, shopping, and travel. (Also see Work. I am lucky to love what I do.)
City: I write a lot about Washington, DC. I was born in DC and I really love it here. It’s a great place to live and visit.
What’s your favorite part of Twitter?
I’ve been pleasantly surprised at all the good Twitter can do, fundraising and spreading the word about nonprofits. Efforts like TweetToRemind.org, 12for12k.org, and what Nine Inch Nails has been doing to raise money for Eric DeLaCruz – http://store.nin.com/helperic/ – remind me daily that people choose to use their powers for good. That’s awesome.
Rate your experience on Twitter, on a scale of 1 to 10:
8 – points lost for technical difficulties and spammers. But considering the rate of growth, it’s been great.
